In the small African village where I grew up, I found solace in the pages of books, escaping the harsh realities of manual labor that defined my surroundings. I would immerse myself in stories and knowledge, dreaming of a world beyond my humble origins. My parents, provided me with unwavering love and support, instilling in me the importance of education and persistence.

One sunny afternoon, as the scent of freshly tilled earth filled the air, my big sisters Ciru and Wangeci left me behind to prepare lunch for the family while they headed to the farm. I watched them disappear into the distance, their laughter mingling with the rustling leaves of the coffee plants. The thought of spending hours in the kitchen, preparing a meal while they enjoyed the outdoors, weighed heavily on me. I longed for something more, something beyond the boundaries of my village life.

As the hours ticked by, the allure of the written word became too strong to resist. I found myself nestled under the shade of a sprawling tree, my nose buried in the pages of an enthralling book, the world around me fading away. The sun crept across the sky, and soon the shadows grew long, yet I remained in my haven of words and imagination, utterly captivated.

When my siblings finally returned from the farm, their faces flushed and their hands stained with soil, they found me still under the tree, lost in my literary escape. To their dismay, they realized that no lunch had been made. At that moment, the disappointment in their eyes fueled my determination to find a path beyond the confines of our village. I despised the toil of picking coffee, working on the farm, or engaging in the backbreaking work that was a way of life in the village. Books became my refuge, and as I grew, my love for reading blossomed into a passion for knowledge and a desire to share it with others.

Unlocking Infinite Potential: A Passionate Call to Make Books Accessible for All

In a world where knowledge is power, every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to books and reading materials that can unlock their infinite potential. From the dusty roads of remote villages to the bustling streets of thriving cities, we must collectively work to ensure that the gift of reading is shared with each and every child.

Growing up, my mother nurtured an environment where the love for reading blossomed within the walls of our humble home. She painstakingly built wooden bookshelves that housed our treasured tomes, giving us the tools to nurture our minds and expand our horizons. That habit, lovingly cultivated by my mother, has rippled through the generations, allowing me to raise children who are now avid readers themselves.

Today, as I celebrate this journey and the immeasurable impact that books have had on my life, I am wholeheartedly donating STEM e-books to ignite the hearts and minds of young learners and educators alike.

My collection includes:

  • STEAM Education Guidebook for Teachers
  • Every School Should Have a STEAM Club Guidebook
  • AI Adventures book series for children, and hundreds of educational posters.

Together, let us weave a tapestry of knowledge that spans from one corner of the world to the other, touching the lives of countless children and leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds. Let’s create a world where the joy of reading knows no boundaries, and the seeds of wisdom are sown in the hearts of children, empowering them to shape a brighter, more prosperous future.

My story is a call to action for all of us. I encourage everyone to ask themselves: “How can I spread love, kindness, and support to marginalized communities?”

By extending a helping hand, we can create a ripple effect of positive change.

Today only, I invite you to send a message requesting free kids’ STEM books, and I will send you a link to access them. Let’s work together to build a more inclusive, diverse, and prosperous world for all.

As we embark on this collective journey toward a brighter future, I urge you to reflect on this question: What can you do to support and uplift marginalized communities in our pursuit of quality education and opportunities?

I believe that together, we can create a world where everyone, regardless of their background, has the chance to thrive.
